Two Hours Before Kickoff

Tiger Walk is an event second only to the football game in magnitude. The football team, coaches, cheerleaders and special guests make their way to the stadium through a route lined with cheering, screaming fans. The intensity of Tiger Walk usually mirrors the importance of the game. The earlier you arrive, the better your viewing location. It takes several Tiger Walks to become adept at positioning yourself to view the team.

Tiger Walk is not only an event in Auburn. The away game Tiger Walks are a lot of fun. It is an adventure to find the Tiger Walk gate. You have a better chance to shake a hand because there aren't quite as many people at the away games. The look on the home fans' faces is sometimes humorous.

One Hour Before Kickoff

Before the game, we all gather together to perform a ritual that has been compared to Communion. This ritual is performed to ward off evil creatures such as bulldogs, elephants, big lizards, hounds, rebels, pigs, purple tigers, mildcats, chickens and big headed boat pilots.

People come from miles away to add their essence to the conjuration.

A spell is cast (some are more clever than others) and the magic elixer is consumed.

To view an actual pre-game communion, click on the link "Reverend Dave". Be warned: The video is 7.5 megabytes. If you are on a dialup connection, it could take 30 minutes to download and play!
